I wanted to let you know about a new feature of the blog that works with the Chicory app, a very clever app that I just partnered with.
For those who haven’t heard of it, Chicory allows you to buy ingredients for recipes you find on Gabitza’s Green Kitchen and other food blogs. The ingredients come from online grocery stores, delivered to your home. You’ll now notice that almost each recipe you find on the blog has a “Get Ingredients” button at the bottom, that looks something like this:
We’re all busy and what’s actually one of the most important things at the end of the day? Dinner, right? By clicking on this button, you’ll be able to use Chicory to create a grocery list, or purchase the ingredients online so they can be delivered to you the next day.
Chicory was founded in 2013 and it started in the New York area, but it is growing very fast almost everywhere in U.S.
Chicory partners with various online grocery stores such as Peapod, Amazon and others in order to ensure that orders are delivered the next day to shoppers with just few clicks.
And it couldn’t be easier to use: just click the “get ingredients” button underneath one of my recipes, add the items to your cart, de-select the ingredients you already have, and then get everything delivered from your local online grocer.
Unfortunately, the app works for the moment only for the American readers, but I understand that they are working to expand their business to other countries also.
I hope you guys find the app useful, and let me know what you think and if it works for you!
See you next time!
The app really shines when you’re shopping for more than one recipe at a time. The shopping cart defaults to the best products at the best prices for whatever you’re making
